Sonia Shell is a veteran bluegrass banjo player that has been a member of hard working Bay Area bands including Sidesaddle, All Girl Boys, Harmony Grits, The Goat Hill Girls and currently Marin County’s Bluegrass Holiday.
She was a runner up in the Winfield National Banjo Championship in 1993, and has taught banjo and guitar lessons, group classes, and put on student recitals for many decades.
Sonia also plays jazz and bossa nova guitar and sings standards in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
‘We’re Going Home’ is her first solo bluegrass recording project.
